Regionals CORRECTION! - The schedule has changed. Golovin will not play until 1:00 pm Friday. If the schedule changes again we will try to keep updated.
VOLLEYBALL REGIONALS! - Our Lynx will travel to SHH Thursday to play in the Regional Tournament. Our first game will be Thursday evening at 9:00 pm against the SMK Storm. The games will be Live Streamed on the BSSD website and the school will be open for anyone who would like to come and watch. Please contact the school for more information.

FAMILY LITERACY NIGHT! - Monday night at 6:00 pm will be a Family Literacy Night for ECE and Elementary Students. Please contact the school for more information.
NO VOLLEYBALL TODAY! - there will be no Volleyball practice today, Wednesday, November 10.
VETERAN'S DAY! - Due to the mandates of COVID-19 currently taking place in our community, Martin L. Olson School has postponed our on- site honoring/recognizing of our Veterans until Tuesday, November 23rd. Thanksgiving lunch with turkey and the fixings will be served on this day as well.
All veterans as well as residential/visiting elders are welcome, free of charge.
Community members will be charged $10.00/meal. Please make reservations at least one day ahead.
REPORT CARD CONFERENCES! - We will be having report card conferences tomorrow, Wednesday, November 10th from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Please plan to come by the school to pick up report cards and visit with teachers. For more information contact the school.
COVID PROCEDURES! - Athletes will be returning from Unalakleet today, Saturday November 6th. Any student considered a close contact must quarantine for at least 7 days. Non- close contacts may return to school on Monday after receiving a negative test result. All staff, students and visitors must wear masks at school for at least the next two weeks. Currently there have been a total of three cases of COVID identified at the wrestle/cheer tournament. The students are isolated away from the main group with an adult. The decision has been made to cancel the remainder of the wrestling/cheerleading tournament. There will be no further activities taking place at the Unalakleet School this weekend.
We are working to schedule travel for students, coaches, and visiting parents to return home tomorrow. We will send out the information as soon as it's finalized, and it will be posted on Google Calendar.

NO GYM TONIGHT! - There will be no Open Gym tonight, November 5.
Good Afternoon,
This afternoon a student tested positive for COVID-19 at the wrestling/cheerleading tournament. The student has been removed from the school building and is currently isolating with family outside of the school. All teams are currently quarantining and separated from group contact until the results of NSHC testing efforts come back. Social tracing is currently being conducted. The following message was sent by the Unalakleet School administration a few moments ago:
"Due to a positive case being identified, the elementary/wrestling cheerleading tournament is currently postponed until tomorrow. All teams will remain in their room. No spectators or visitors will be allowed to enter the school. The situation will be reevaluated tomorrow morning."
If the tournament ends up being cancelled, all athletes and coaches returning to the village will be asked to quarantine until the results of a COVID test that is taken at site are returning.

HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL! - Student Council will be hosting a Halloween Carnival Friday, October 29th. The fun starts at 7:00 pm. There are flyers around town and on our MLO web site "Documents" page for more details.
NO SCHOOL THURSDAY AND FRIDAY! - Teachers will have a Work Day and an In Service Day on Thursday and Friday the 28th and 29th. No school for the kids.
